Description
Grape variety: Tempranillo
Bright and intense on the nose, liquorice and matured black fruit notes, blackberry and ripe plum over a spicy background in perfect harmony with mocha and dark-roasted hints from the barrel. Potent in the mouth with complexity and structure, sweet and well tannins assemblies, with hints of black wild berries, showing spicy notes in the retronasal. Very long finish.
Our DWS tasting panel were recently blown away by this. Characterised by dark cherry, mocha and savoury spice notes that are fresh and a bit brooding. Underpinnings of graphite, floral and black tea give depth along the toasty, tannic finish. Superb. Aged for 9 months in oak.
