“Plakoura” vineyard is situated on a premier cru slope with sandy, stony soil at 500m altitude. Head-trained pruning, combined with north-east exposure and ample sunshine, ensures grapes reach optimal ripeness at harvest. Meticulous cultivation practices result in extremely low yields, producing a concentrated wine with deep red colour, excellent structure and long aging potential.
Aromas of black fruit, cedar-chocolate, nutty oak and vanilla butter biscuits balanced by earthy notes and hints of dried herbs. Rich and well-structured palate with fine grained tannins, vibrant acidity and long savoury aftertaste.
Pair with roast beef, red meat dishes, game and piquant cheese. Serve at 16-17°C.
